The 2027 RAiSE ecology residential (start of the course) runs from:
Thursday 1st July until Monday 12th July.
The RAiSE ecology course starts with the 10-day RAISE residential (dates above) and finishes with your community project documentation in May 2028.
Course fees are on a sliding scale depending on what you can afford to pay. It costs 500 Euros per student to run the course. If you can pay more, that will help to reduce the fee for those on low income by providing RAiSE ecology scholarships. You will also need to bring some pocket money for food (although lunch and dinner are provided) & bus fares. If you are a student or unable to pay the full ammount you may apply for the scholarship. To do so, you will need to email raise@gmx.com to ask for the Daniel Blackburn RAiSE ecology scholarship application form. The Application dealine is 22nd April (World Earth Day) each year.
To progress your enrolment please fill in the form below and write in your message how you think attending the RAiSE ecology course will help you, and then set up a payment using the payment options links at the bottom of this page.
You can also email raise@gmx.com to arrange a bespoke payment that suits your financial situation or to set up a monthly payment plan rather than paying a single lump sum.
Once enrolled, you will receive an email confirmation and invitations to join the RAiSE ecology VLE (virtual learning environment) to start your learning journey.
Please note: you must be at least 18 years of age to enroll.
Anyone over the age of 18 is welcome to enrol. Although this course is aimed at gap year, undergraduate, and postgraduate students, a degree is not necessary. Anyone aged 18 or over with an interest in sustainability may enrol in the program. Although you will need to be a university graduate to obtain the full certificate in Applied Ecology, if you are an undergraduate and complete the RAiSE course before your graduation, you will gain a certificate of completion, which can be upgraded to a full certificate in Applied Ecology once you have graduated.
